Cheryl Q
I'm interested in buying a long arm quilting machine. But not sure this can be justified. Does anyone know what the difference is between the a 2012 Millennium and a 2007 Millennium like the one listed on the Certified Used page? barbm
Cheryl, In 2008, APQS changed up the circuit boards, moved the power plug to the center of the head, and added LED lights to replace the fluorescent light bar. In 2011, they started shipping the machines and tables in a white color, rather than the previous silver and black. The 2007 Millie is a great machine - I started out with a 2005 and put lots of quilts and LOTS of miles on it! You can't go wrong with a Millennium, no matter the vintage. Busy Quilting
I have both a 2007 and 2012 Millenium. They are both great machines. Only bought the 2012 as I am a dealer and wanted customers to be able to see and try out the new features of Bliss Table, Quilt Glide, LED lighting and the new colour. You can't go wrong with an older machine. Add the new MnM wheels to it and away you go!
shirleyl
I bought a 2002 certified machine 4 heard ago. I could get the Milli at a freedom price. For me it was bang for my buck. I love it and haven't regretted it on bit. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Shirley

yankiequilter
I think one feature that available for the 2012 is Quilt Glide, and I believe that feature can be added to the 2008 and newer machines.
dlnewell
I have a 2008 millie. I don't have to pack or repack the grease in my gearbox like some of the older, maybe even earlier 2008 models. I would check into that though. One less thing you have to worry about.
