Sakura without the Leaves

Recommended Posts

Ann Humphries sent me a picture of a top she had quilted, using the Sakura (which she mostly designed), but without doing the leaves. She said it made it go much faster, and she was right.

And I like it very much. My customer liked it too.

That looks great! I can imagine it would go a lot faster without the leaves. I'll have to remember that for the next time I use that board. Thanks for sharing, Georgene.

I just looked at that quilt again and realized that piecing design was the very first quilt I ever made. I was happy to SID with my old White machine to finish it. :) Mine was two blue calico fabrics - one light and one dark. Since the original directions a friend gave me said to "tie" the quilt, I did that too. LOL

I gave it to my Mother as I wanted her to have my very first quilt. She always had it folded on the bottom of her bed (it was just a lap quilt, and not all that big.) A few years ago I got it back after she passed away.
