Darlene Epp Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Hi Lynn, I have a set of Micro-Drive handles for a Liberty if you'd like to swap me for the Millennium set you have. Measured from top to bottom the Liberty handles are 3" high.
Dreamscapes Posted February 3, 2007 Report Posted February 3, 2007 Is your new baby there yet? Congrats, I hope you just love it like I do.I did put on micro drive handles last week, sure do like for fine detailed work.
LynnQuilts Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Hi Darlene! Yes, that would be great! Shall I mail my handles to you or what?? You're a peach!!
JudyLee Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Posted February 6, 2007 My machine is here, and all warmed up. What a perfect time to get this machine, as our temps here are in the teens below zero. I am a cellar-dweller, and it's nice and cozy in my studio. Today I'm going to try out those micro-drive handles. Stay warm everyone to whom it applies! JudyLee Z

catsigler Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 Do micro drive handles have electronic start/stop button? If not, then you must have to use them with stitch regulation?
Mary Beth Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 No, the micro drive handles are just an attachment. You will need to use your buttons on the other handles to start/stop, etc. You can probably see a picture of them on the Hartly Products page.
LynnQuilts Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Cathey, like Mary Beth said, the microdrive handles do not have buttons, and it is handy to use them with a stitch regulator, but by no means, do you have to have a stitch regulator to use them. When I had my Discovery with no regulator I used my handles all the time. You just have to quickly move your hand up to the button to stop it. It's a lot handier to have the stitch regulator going, but not a necessity at all. There are some things I do on my Liberty where I don't use the stitch regulator, and I still use the handles. I couldn't do without them!
Quilter Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 It is deffently a Personal Choice I just can not use them. They are just auquared you dont shake a hand side ways so why would you sew side ways . for me but know people who love them
catsigler Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 Yippy!! My micro drive handles just arrived. I'm quilting up a storm (in my head). Soon I will be using them for real.
