peglu
I really like this! I'm usually not much for the red, white, blue theme, but this is really nice. Great job.
WestieMom
James, you did a fantastic job on this quilt...it looks great! When I'm not happy with something I've stitched I walk away from it for a few hours then go back to take another look with "fresh" eyes...usually it doesn't look as bad as I thought the first time... Beachside Quilter
Wonderful job, James! You are so right that the "mistakes" that drive you crazy are less noticeable when the quilt is off the frame! You are doing great; enjoy the journey!! pumpkinpatchquilter
I find stitch in the ditch to be quite challenging as well!! I don't have a high profile ruler foot yet, but I played around even with just a really thick yard stick type of ruler to get a feel for it, it's hard!! I do better free hand, but even then it leaves a lot to be desired. I think you did a great job, and I seriously love the quilt pattern!!!
CindyT
James, what a terrific gift for your retiring chief! Don't beat yourself up...looks like you did a wonderful job on your first custom! As for SID, it never was my forte either but I get a lot of requests for it. Truthfully, I still "wobble" every once in a while even though I've been doing it now for 6 years! It all depends on how it's pressed, if the seams are straight, if I blink, it I hold my mouth crooked....you get the jest.
