donna sco
I have a stack of charity quilts to be quilted later this spring. In the past when time was short I turned some of the quilts lengthwise and had a couple of pantos that I used. And it seemed to work ok doing them vertically. Does anyone else quilt vertically with pantos and if so what are your favorite patterns. I hate to quilt every quilt the same. Thanks
ffq-lar
Avoid pantos that don't nest and those with, of course, an obvious "up"--like a cowboy panto with boots and hats, etc. Realize as well, that "up" is subjective as far as cuddle quilts and bed quilts go. Patricia Ritter of Urban Elementz has gorgeous pantos that are large-to-medium in density and which nest nicely. No one will be care or even wonder about a vertical panto. It should work great! Sandra Darlington
Some of my Circle Lord pattern boards can go horizontally or vertically. Do you have any of them? I have some pantos that I can use either way, too, but I reached my limit on the steps for today, so can't even walk two floors down and then back up look for their names. But, like Linda said, if they nest together and don't have a definite "right side up" design, they will most likely work.
witha'K'quilting
yep...just as linda and sandy stated...as long as the pantograph is non-directional, you can quilt them either way. I love Patricia Ritter's designs. Hers are my favorite.

donna sco
Thanks for your help. Sandra D, I don't have any boards but with the list of pantos I should do great. Now I have an excuse for some more pantos.
