Cheryll
I was wondering if anyone here has quilted a Jewish Wedding Huppa. I'd like to make one for my wedding. We are not kids but we are still having a nice wedding. Ha Ha no white dressess or tuxes. I am new to Judiasm so I need suggestions. I'd like it to become an heirloom or donate it to the Temple for others to use if needed.
Grammie
I believe Karen McTavish did one and there is a picture of it in her Wholecloth book. It was very pretty. I believe she had it on display in the class I took as well. Its a really cool item to quilt I think. I haven't seen a pattern for one but it is just a square or rectangle shape I think with ties on each corner to create the canopy. Good luck and send a pic. That will be way cool. Here's the link to the quilt used as a Huppa. Mazel tov and God bless you with much love in your marriage! Congratulations. And, chiming in with Grammie Tammie --- we want to see a picture your Huppa when you finsih it! AnuGram
Karen McTavish did make one and she shows it in her classes. I believe it is white satin and it is gorgeous. I think I have a photo of it at home. I will look for it and post it. Sara
