KarenH Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Sorry if this has been discussed before, but what stitch length do you usually use for panto's, SID or custom?? I thought I read a post about this but I could not find it. Sometimes I feel my stitch length is to long, I usually do a 10 to 11 when doing a panto. My biggest fear is if I have to rip it out! Thanks for your help!
Little House Creations Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Karen - I keep my Freedom at about 11 - if I go higher than that, the stitches are way too small, or if not using the SR, it just seems to be too fast for me . . . that's where I get the best tension and stitch, anyway.
LindaSteller Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 I generally use 12-13. Especially if you're doing a design with lots of tight curves, you'll find the stitches track better if they are shorter.
Sue E. Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 I usually keep my stitch length about 11. If I am doing something more detailed with lots of tight curves, I'll set it at 12.
delld Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 I do lots of pantos and use the 11 to 12 length for my stitches and it works well. GOOD LUCK!
KarenH Posted June 26, 2014 Author Report Posted June 26, 2014 Thanks ladies!! I will let you know how I make out.
PJK Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 My Millie is new and I am just getting used to it. I haven't found a good match for stitch length, SR, Quilt Glide for stippling, would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
