Zora
Somewhere I saw a disk that fits around the hopping foot, and is meant to help manage puffiness in the piecing. Now I don't remember what it is called or who sells it. Do any of you know?

Cagey
An instructor in a longarm class I recently demonstrated the item above, said she uses that to quilt around appliqué and for new students trying to get the hang of longarm machines. Have fun shopping. Cagey
Mary Beth
These kind of things scare me to death. When I first started quilting, I had a ruler that had a hole for the hopping foot. I must have had something wrong, but when I started quilting the ruler went crazy. My hopping foot started hitting the ruler and it scared the begeebers out of me. Zora
Thank you ladies. This is exactly what I was looking for. I can see where that might happen with puffy batting Mary Beth. I am not sure I want one, but we were discussing these at longarm group yesterday and several were interested when I mentioned them. But of course I couldn't remember what they were called ..or where I saw them.
