Thick Enough Batting That Will Not Allow Dark Backing To Show Through to White Top

Recommended Posts

Hi there  - I'm after some advice for this particular dilemma:

My client has a very deep purple batik backing and a mostly white quilt top. Any advice on which battings would work best to obscure any purple darkness showing through causing the front side to dull down?

Thank you in advance your ideas would be greatly appreciated!

A thick batting like Warm and White with a layer of poly on top of that. Alternatively, I would tell her the chosen backing is not an appropriate choice with the exact reason and have her provide something else. I doubt she knows it is a problem. They just look at backings with the idea that they are pretty with no idea how the whole thing works together.
