KathyA
A Few things today: (1) I would like to do a free-hand E2E on this quilt. Any suggestions? I just ordered Dawn's (pajama quilter) new DVD. If anyone has suggestions from the new DVD I'm open to that as well. (2) The quilt is not square and measures 2" shorter down the center length. I'll float the top to avoid the dog-ear corners at the bottom. Any recommendations on handling this challenge will also be welcome. (3) Looking for a cactus/desert type panto for a real cute childs pony w/cactus and gecko's quilt. Anybody have favorites for this category? Yes, lots of help needed - so Thank You to all that reply. Quilting Heidi
Kathy, That is a beautiful quilt. I would use Bonnie\'s starch and steam method before you even try to load it. I think you will be able to whip it into submission with that. You\'ll probably have to do more as you go. I don\'t have any suggestions on pantos as I haven\'t done many myself. Maybe something swirly though. Heidi
victoriasews
For the child\'s quilt, you can use freehand saguaro cactus is varying sizes as an all over design. See "inspiration, pictures" section of this forum under \'Need creative ideas\' by victoriasews. It was suggested for a cowgirls sunset quilt I\'ll be doing. I think it should be quite easy to do. Jamie Wallen type swirls would look nice on the stars and is really fun to do. The black quilt with stars below is a sample.
Mary Beth
I think I would load it sideways, the way it is in the picture, and use that darker part to make some kind of flowing thing...That helps doesn\'t it . Kind of a milky way sort of thing. Victoriasews...beautiful!! That is a great idea.

CWBowser
Victoriasews, What kind of thread did you use on your quilt? I think that would look great on Kathy\'s star quilt too. Wow, there is such talent on this chat!!!! Charlotte
