quiltaholi_518
I am so proud, I put together a shelf for all my So Fine thread. I have room for a few variagateds right now, too, but I plan on filling in some more colors of So Fine. I think it looks great, just like going to the manicure shop and picking out nail polish. I hope the picture attaches...........
Quilts2DI4
It is beautiful....but how will you expand? It is full already. I love the so fine and Bottom Line thread too. All I have here! Lookin' good! Diana
bstucker
It looks great! Is it recessed into the wall? How did you make it. I think you can expand by just sqeezing those cones a little closer!
Charlene
Caron, Great job. I just love looking at threads. I like how they are arranged and easily accessible. That So Fine Thread is great.

quiltaholi_518
Yes, I did think it would hold a lot more thread. I may make another one. It is actually a 24" sq. piece of MDF and the shelves and sides are 1x4 clear pine. 1X4 is actually 3/4" X 3.5" and I just cut a box to be a smidge bigger than the MDF. (I got an electic nail gun for my last birthday!) Then I cut the shelves and spaced them equally. Primed and painted it, and then attached some D ring type hangers to the back. Put the long screws of your choice in the wall, and if you don't hit a stud you need to use a good sturdy hollow wall anchor.
quiltaholi_518
Oh, I forgot to add, I have discovered that if you use the clear tablecloth vinyl that you get at JoAnn's, etc, cut 2" strips and then cut again to wrap around the thread to overlap, it looks good and keeps those strays under control. Guest Linda S
Very nice! But if you're anything like me, you'd best make another! I can't seem to stop buying thread. Linda
Sherri
What a great way to display your thread! Looks great! I'd need a whole wall of shelves for my thread......believe it or not, I have nearly 300 cones of thread - it's too hard to resist! I just use thread racks hung from the pegboard - not as pretty, but works. Sherri Dolly Overland Park, KS Mil
