ramona-quilter
I just heard that Paradise, CA (outside Chino) had a devastating wildfire over the weekend. 74 homes were lost. Bobette Miller (Bobette) lives in Paradise. Please include her and her neighbors in your prayers. Check in with us, Bobette. And let us know if there is something we can do. DoryJM
Linda...I talked on e-mail this weekend with Bobbette. At the time, she was busily trying to get a quilt done; however, then I heard a new report that the whole town was without power! I don\'t know if they have it back; I haven\'t heard from her since Saturday. (I\'m just up the hill a ways in Quincy...and it was smoky here!) JenMcManus
Hope you are ok, Bobette. A friend lives in Magalia and was packed and ready to go. She boards her six horses in Paradise and did have to evacuate them. Jen
bobbi
Hey grils! Just to clarify there are two (2) Bobbette\'s on this forum - me, bobbi47, I live between Akron and Canton in Ohio and Bobette from California. I\'m fine, however my thoughts and prayers go out to my namesake, Bobette and her family!
Merryjo2003
Wow, I hope she\'s okay. I guess Linda and I are a little sensitive to wildfire as we\'ve lived through 2 major fires in the last 5 years. It\'s an aweful feeling to have to pack up quickly and evacuate. Especially with large animals, too. Then you get to live at a shelter, motel, or with family or friends and wonder if you chose the right stuff, forgot anything important, or will have anything left but your lives and what you could pack in you vehicle. With phones and power out, it\'s reallly hard to let people know if you\'re okay.
Merryjo2003
Dory and Paradise Bobette: I grew up in Chico. I have family in Quincy and the Susanville area. We also have Barbara in Janesville, outside of Susanville. Small world!
