bobbin size help

Recommended Posts

Thanks for that, I was ordering some superior threads and wanted to try their prewounds and didn't know what size. I only got 2 packs to see if I like them and if they work OK. I have just ordered my threads,. It was like being in a candy shop, so I got a few conservative colours and lots of samples to try. Hope the machine isn't tooooo far away.

Hi Maree

I'll check on your machines' progress tonight.

I use Superior prewounds most of the time and love them because they are wound so consistently and there is so much thread on those bobbins. I'm going to place an order again soon. I'm getting the "nursery" stocked ready for my new Milli and Quilt Studio! in the meantime I'm giving Lenni a real workout.

Best wishes

Here at Country Lane we only use and sell steel bobbins: but you can use any "L" bobbin. This is the industry standard for high speed bobbins. Physics tells us that the aluminum should be better as they have less mass.

One thing that is nice about "L" bobbins is you can wind them on most domestic machines.
