doodlebug
i had a customer quilt that came today (needs it back by the end of the month) and it's a whooping 116"w x 124"L. does any one know (or have) batting by the yard that is 124" wide. i'd purchase it and cover shipping. or does anyone know of an online place that sells it. i have a feeling that i'm going to be tight with the deadline. thanks in advance! Quilting Heidi
Sorry Shannon the widest I have I think is 120 wide.
barbm
Doodlebug, Most suppliers have 120" wide batting on the roll for sale. I know my supplier - Heartbeat Quilting, www.heartbeatquilting.com - does - just bought some myself! Have them cut you a piece long enough for your 124" dimension. It doesn't give you much "wiggle room" on the 116" dimension, but it should work, unless you're quilting the heck out of it. Good luck!
doodlebug
wouldn't the 120 work. that would give me 2" on each side of the quilt right? what kind do you have. the customer asked for low loft, i'm thinking W&N, or dream cotton select..... ARGH!
Boni
Quilter's Dream comes in a roll that is 122 inches wide, folded. But I'm in Oregon. QD takes orders for any quantity and they're in Virginia.
doodlebug
found it....124"W W&N on fabricdepot.com. and they sell by the yard! 12.99/yd
Quilting Heidi
If you don't have a wholesale account you won't be able to order from QD. If that's the case I have a roll of QD Select 70/30 and probably have a piece big enought to get you 130" but I'm in NY. No idea what shipping would cost.
