KerryM
has anyone ever used the triple play rulers/templates for doing cc. I just got them and am wondering if an outside curve is better than an inside curce for cc's. My goal this year is to learn on free hand technique a month. I also bought a crosshatch ruler. Any tips on using either of these tools? All info and advice gladly accepted.
yeoldeforest
Hi Kerry, Have you been to Donita Reeve's website? http://www.lovetoquilt.com/ If you click on rulers on the left, then click on the Triple Play link, you will see a link called "Detailed Instructions" - this is a pdf file that has decent instructions. I use the inside curve for my cc's and it's a lot of fun.
JoleneK
Joanne, thanks for the heads up on Donita's instructions. I've had the Triple Play rule for a while now and never really figured it out. I forgot about the instructions. I'll give it some practice.
AbigailE
I just ordered these and am waiting for their arrival. I specifically chose them because I do better if I can hold the curve as in an inside curve. It is better for my control, than an outside curve where I have to guide the hopping foot above, over and around the curve. Inside means a better shot for me to stay with in the lines. I've always had trouble with that, even when I was coloring.
gable428
I just got mine a couple weeks ago and have already used them. Love 'em! The way they are curved is perfect for CC's.
