juliagraves
A friend discovered that the local florist uses something almost exactly like a thread net to keep flowers like rose buds from losing their petals, and they THROW THEM AWAY when they make the arrangements of flowers. So - she asked them to keep them for her, and they had a shopping bag full in a week. She brought them to our quilt guild and passed out handfuls to everyone. I have so many now that I keep one on each spool to keep the threads from tangling. So - check with your local florist - free thread nets may be in your future!
