They load the quilt on the frame and then change the frame just like it was a cartridge or something. The head moves horizontally while the quilt moves vertically back and forth too. Believe it or not, before I purchased my Milli, I actually found a machine like the one in the 2nd Picture on Ebay. The bid was only $5,000. They were looking to get $10,000.
