Mary Beth
For those of you who have attended the banquet...can you tell me what the proper dress is for this event? I've never been, but have decided I need to soak it all in...so this is my year.
dtreusch
I think it's pretty casual MB. I'm looking forward to it. It will also be my first time at the banquet.

ThreadWaggle
I was wondering the same thing... I was thinking business casual instead of my normal jeans casual. Nice slacks or skirt and a blouse or sweater?
birgitquilts
My experience from 2007 is that most of the people who attended the banquet came there directly from the show, i.e. no time to change clothes. Of course, there were some who did change but that wasn't the majority. As far as I experienced it, it's all about having a great time and enjoying oneself. As long as you feel comfortable, you'll be perfectly dressed for the occasion. Should something have changed in terms of dress code over the past two years, I'd appreciate a heads-up so that I know what I need to pack... See you all very soon, Birgit
Sheri Butler
Hey, i'll be in my capri's and if i'm wearing a t-shirt....so be it! Also, if there was a dress code, i'm positive IMQA would of said so in the pamphlet we all got. ex: Fri Nite Banquet, no jeans allowed, etc. dress is business attire, etc. I"M GOING COMFY for any who care,...LOL
Boni
Last year's theme was tropical, so I took an Aloha shirt and wore black slacks. I was comfortable and not over-dressed, but it wasn't jeans either. Yes, there were some who wore jeans, probably didn't have time to change between show/shopping/dinner. Birgit is right, if you're comfortable, you're dressed right. This year's theme is Fire and Ice------uh, snow suit? fireman's pants?:P:P
