My First Freehand

Recommended Posts

This is my first quilt on the front of the machine. I had a blast doing it. It was a differnt feeling than I get when I sew on quilts. I kept saying this is a blast, this is fun.It was such fun and my machine was happy with me. I can't wait for the next one. Cheryll in Idaho

Way to go Cheryll,

Congrats on your first of what I'm sure will be many.

Good loops and I love that you quilted fish into the sashing.

I can tell that you are having fun, too. Keep it up.

I have to put my machine in the shop when I get back from

Hawaii. I feel lost without "machine time". I went to a

fabulous fabric store today. You would love it, lots of fish

fabric and Asian prints. Oh and batiks.

Quilt away, girlfriend.

We have a fabulous quilt shop in Hill City, SD, The Quilt Corral. It is full of batiks and Asian prints. If you vacation in the Black Hills, we have about 7 quilt shops to visit. That's a lot for such a small area. Someone needs to give me some inspiration for an Asian quilt. I just can't seem to get out of the box. Cheryl, your free-hand is great. That seems like the most fun to me. Following stencil lines is a little difficult. I can hardly trace lines on a piece of paper let alone do it with a quilting machine in my hands!!
