Southern Quilts
I would love to see some whole cloth quilting designs that "the experts" (yall!) have done on your LA's. I want to get an idea of how it looks...THanks!

yankiequilter
Oh, Heidi, I hadn't seen this quilt until today. It is a jaw dropper! Absolutely georgous! Did this quilt make the trip to MQX?
meg
heidi - whoa nellie - that is absolutely wild! did it get into that show before the wedding?
Quilting Heidi
Meg & Carmen - Thank you so much! The wedding quilt went to MQX just before the wedding and I was honored to receive 2nd place in the Wholecloth category! I still grin ear to ear when I think of that. The baby quilt was done only 3 months after I got my machine and I see every mistake now! LOL I did get a teachers ribbon from Karen McTavish on that and at our local show it won 1st place and Best Workmanship!
meg
i knew if you told me it got into the show - you would also tell me it won! and i know i will not be doing that kind of work in three months....you are a serious quilter, girlfriend:)! how nice for you to be able to give an award winning quilt as a wedding gift. i would like to think i would be, but am not sure i would be so generous. JustSewSimple
I'd like to stitch out a whole cloth using yellow fabric. Where does one find wide yellow fabric. I guess piecing is out of the question huh?:
Quilting Heidi
Sylvia you might be able to get it from Christian Lane. It is though acceptable to piece the top if you have to.
