Glow in the dark thread

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has used glow in the dark thread?

Does it show on quilts or do you need to quilt very heavily for it to show?

I am doing a couple of "I spy" kids quilts & considering buying the specialty thread but don't want to waste money if if the thread won't show.

Because I want the quilts to stay cuddly I am just going to do an open panto.

Any thoughts or comments appreciated!:)

I used the glow in the dark thread for the light rays from a Light House. It does glow in the dark, but as said before, not long if it's just a few min. exposure.. We found it seems to like the flourescent lights best, and we only have one in a small lamp. I get bad headaches from them.

The two rows of the thread, out from and back to the lighthouse, showed up quite well, I don't know about single threads.. I thought it was posted on my webshots, but can't find it there. It should be in my photo's on my puter, but it may be on the one that is waiting to be fixed.

I sell Superior threads! I use the nite lite extraglow in the longarm. It is 50% heavier than the nite lite. It comes in 1500 yd spools in 6 colors, White (glows the brightest) pink, blue, green, purple(pale)and yellow. My grand kids love it. It really is a fun thread.:D
