New Toys

I recently decided to help my wife in her shop. I purchased a 2005 Freedom non-SR. No bells and whistles. Had to replace tension assembly, put new soft mounts on axles and while I was at it, we went ahead and replaced the canvasses on the rollers. Ordered an IQ over two months ago and just had it installed yesterday. Looking forward to learning how to use it. Very impressed with Cristyn Merry of Merryquilting in League City, Texas. She and her husband came and set everything up. Been having some fun already today.

So it sounds like you don't need to have a SR to have a computer guided machine. You just set it to quilt at an even speed. Or maybe that's what it does anyway.

I know almost nothing about computer guided.

I think it's neat that you could get an older machine and a new IQ, sounds like a sweet deal and a perfect setup.
