Shar Schmutz
It's still gloomy out here in N. Idaho and waiting for spring has become a sport of sorts! Today to shake off some of the gloom I went out and spent the day with a friend and her daughter. We went to a shop open house and then to a very late lunch. When we drove home I asked her to stop at the mail box and there was a brown box with feathers drawn all around the sides of it!! OK !! This has to be my mini quilt!!! We came into the house and I opened the box and what a very special mini qulit was resting inside!! It has perfect Spring Colors and is so cheerful you have smile when you look at it!! I LOVE IT!!! Cindy sent a letter describing to me how she came up with the idea, colors, and even a story of shopping for the green which is apparently the same color as her car! LOL She waited to send it so she could take it to Show and Tell at her guild, I don't blame her one bit, it should be shared!! I love it! The piecing is so tiny I have no idea how she did it! I thought I was making it easy not making any specific request so one could make what they liked to make, what a journey Cindy took with this little quilt! Thank you Cindy from the bottom of my heart it cheered me and will continue to every time I gaze upon it! Thanks as well for the bobbin holder, you are right, one can never have too many! Sorry for posting the picture sideways but I just couldn't make it look right in a picture straight up. Let's see everyone else's mini quilts!! Quite a few have arrived and no posts!!! quiltinginthecountry
Oh my, Shar it's adorable. I'm looking at the tiny triangles this takes allot of patients to sew. Lucky you, Cindy did a wonderful job piecing and quilting it. Thanks for posting it.
JustSewSimple
I love the bright colors and that spinning block is cute as pie. I was sitting here trying to deside how it was made. It has to be a stitch n split but I haven't figured it out yet. She really did you up right and I know you are proud to have it! Ok, I figured it out! What a great block idea. Looks harder than it is! I must give this a try!

Shar Schmutz
Cindy, I absolutely love it! I especially appreciate all the time and research you did, amazing! I am in awe of the tiny piecing, thank you again! It's beautiful, I hung it over my fireplace in the living room so it is the first thing one sees upon entering the house.
