Little House Creations
. . . Is there a "right way up" for Wool Batting? (Tuscanny 100% washable wool). I'm trying it for the first time on a huge quilt to keep down the weight.
sspingler
I just did one for a customer that brought it and couldn't see any difference in the sides.
srichardson
Bev, I use QD wool so can't answer your question about Tuscany. Wouldn't it be nice and so much easier if batting manufactures included that information on their packaging. How difficult could that be for them? Perhaps we should begin an e-mail campaign to the various companies! I am sure someone will be able to answer your question. Sue
quietlifeaz
some of the companys have the answer to this question on their websites...you might look at their FAQ section.
Matt Sparrow
If it's folded on the bolt/roll, I trust that the wrong sides are facing in. With wool, I can't tell either so I just assume the outside of the fold goes up.
Little House Creations
asked and answered - thanks - I can't see any difference but I'll do as you say, Matt (as I always do!) just to be sure.
Sandra Darlington
The fold...just think of the way fabric is folded on the bolt. That helps me remember.
Lyn Heilman
Tuscany wool doesn't have a "right" side! So how ever it is loaded will be perfect.
Primitive1
What is the differance between QD wool and Tuscany wool?
Little House Creations
Lyn - I started quilting my queen + sized quilt and just love the way the Tuscany batting enhances the quilting. Lenni is acting up today, but as soon as she's "feeling better" (could be the weather) I'll finish the quilt and post some pics. I think I'm going to get hooked on the Tuscany Wool!
