Quilting Grammy
I have a braid quilt that I need to quilt and have no clue how to do the braid part. It is the braid that was just on Fons and Porter a few weeks ago. I'll post a picture when I get one. I think I am going to put ropes in the sashing and feathers in the outer boarder but no clue on the braid. If I sid I will have to break the thread or back track a lot. cmkeindl1
If the fabrics are busy you probably won't see much of the quilting? I've attached another braid quilt - looks kind of like an allover (or at least a swirl in each piece)? There was also a book (this quilt is not from the book to my knowledge), I think looks fun. Good luck! Post when done!
Quilting Grammy
Thanks Cathy something like that might work. The fabric is Fairy Frost and is all colors from white to black.
LadyLake
Could you do a meandering feathered vine up an down the braids?
Quilting Heidi
I've only done 1 braid quilt and I did a e2e design because the fabric was too busy and the quilting wouldn't really show. It came out beautiful.
