uncquilter
When searching for an old post I almost always get a "no topic found" message. I make sure I select a search of all forums and far enough back to find my post. Is their something obvious (or not so obvious) i am missing? Why can't I ever find anything? I feel seriously challenged!
Quilting Heidi
Try your search on just one word of what you're looking for. If you know who posted it put in their name as well.
Gator
There is a block under the "all forums" block that lets you pick how far to go back (1 week, 6 months etc). Usually when I get no topic found, I forgot to do the time block. I agree with Heidi also. If you can remember who did the post or someone who answered it you can do a user search instead, sometimes this works.
Kueser
Unfortunately the search engine for this forum is not as user friendly as Google, Bing, etc. You have to spell the search word exactly as in the thread (and sometimes we don't spell so good;)) or you'll never get back that post. barbm
Another alternative is to ask for help here - someone may have that thread in their "favorites" or know just how to find it.
uncquilter
Thanks everyone. I have had better luck since I have searched using just one key word.
