aktbone
I would like to know what you charge for the Springtime panto? Just checking my price. Thanks
Janette
I hate that panto ..... it is hard the butterfly antenae drove me nuts.... I eventually modified the design to simplify it, but have now decided it won't be on my website anymore for customers to choose...... LOL.... aktbone
Janette, I am charging .015 / sq. inch. Just for grins what were you charging? Trying to see if I am in the correct ball park. Thanks
Janette
It is a bit different pricing here in the UK, I don't charge per sq inch, but it equated to about 0.016 sterling.... I think it depends on how fast you feel you are with it. It does actually quilt out fairly fast, it is just those butterfly heads that did it for me, I may try it again in the future, but for now it is off the menu.... carolinequilts
I agree Janette. The antenae drove me nuts too. I just got to the point where I just did the best I can, but my customer did not complain a bit! I charge my usual - $2.50 / sq foot (I think that is .017 an inch). Janette
I am glad I am not the only one on that panto, my customers who I did it for though loved it, so that is all that matters. For me though, it is shelved for a while until I get bliss maybe ......
Quilting Heidi
I haven't stitched that one yet but have you guys done Oodles of Doodles. I love it stitched but it is so hard to figure out what line you are supposed to be on. Most of my e2e designs are .02 psi. This price includes thread and loading fee. delld
Okay here is my tip. I use a colored pencil to mark the line going back in the designs. So I go out on the black line and then follow the red line back. No headaches!!!!! BTW the first time I had trouble I used my dry erase pen (to mark on the panto cover) the line coming back. It was quick and easy!
aktbone
Love that idea Dell. Thanks all - again I was just making sure I was being fair. I have pantos ranging from .01 - .02. I want people to be able to have their quilts completed. I have found in my area people complete the tops and then they sit there. I love longarm quilting and therefore want to share my love. Have a nice day.

dbz98236
What a great idea Dell. That would have saved me a lot of time. I especially seem to get lost after the bobbin runs out. LOL
delld
Glad to share my ideas. I get so mad when I can't remember where I am on a panto. It's bad enough to talk into a room to get something and then don't know why I'm there! LOL Those senior moments!!!!
quiltmonkey
Originally posted by delld Glad to share my ideas. I get so mad when I can't remember where I am on a panto.... There are a few pantos out there where you can get mixed up which direction is "forward" ...... ask me why I know this! One particular panto is called "Spaced Out" --- yep, I spaced out for sure! Do you know how hard it is to rip out quilting where you've quilted twice over yourself ... backtracked (thinking you were going the right direction) .... and then realized...uh oh! whoopsie! The fun never ends. I drew arrows on those tricky pantos.
