Guest Linda S
Thank you all. I'm not planning on ribbons, but I am very pleased to have it accepted to a juried show. Unfortunately, I'm in the Innovative Wall category, which this quilt definitely isn't. Not sure why that happened, perhaps they didn't have many smaller wholecloths? Oh well, I'm just happy to have it shown. Linda
dtreusch
That's interesting Linda. My wholecloth was put into the traditional wall, other category. I wonder why the difference.... Debbi
quiltmonkey
Linda, Don't sell yourself short! It is a beautiful quilt to behold in anyone's eyes. You just might find yourself with a ribbon, but regardless, because it's a juried show, you will recieve judges comments, which are always good to know. We can't learn and improve if we don't know what to learn and improve on.

Carolyn
Oh, Linda. . .how thrilling for you! Just the fact that you've been accepted into a juried show is [almost] reward enough! Now, you know you're on the right road. . .and, to think, a few short years ago, you were a 'newbie', too! I'm always amazed and inspired when I see that the experts, whose work I regularly admire, have only been [long-arm] quilting for just a few years! Sandra Darlington
Linda: Your quilt is beautiful! I remember reading on either this forum or another that your mother died when you were only 12 years old. I know you are only "39" now, but that is still many years ago. It is wonderful that you are honoring her memory with such a beautiful quilt. Congratulations!
janeta
Congratulations, it is a spectacular quilt. Your mother would be so proud of you.
Guest Linda S
Aw - thank you all. I did get word from Road 2 California today that I have been put back in the Traditional category. I thought it was just a simple mistake. I'm just glad they didn't say -- "sorry, no more room in traditionals!" Linda
