rdp
I haven't used my machine for abaout a month or more. Turned it on today and it would not run. Just hums when I turn it on. Down/up would not work. Have't had this problem before. Any ideas??
ffq-lar
Check for a blown fuse. Do the rear handles work? Can you turn the flywheel? If not, check for thread wrapped around it inside. Call Amy.

qltnbe
I just did a needle up/down adjustment tonight and if we had it too tight, the needle wouldn't move but just hum. Could that be your problem? Maybe you need to loosen that up.
shirleyl
Make sure you can move it with the fly wheel, then turn up your speed, if it is in a cooler part of the house you may have to adjust the number 8 screw, but check the fuses. Mine does that till she warms up. Now that it is cooler on my room, I unthread her, take out the bobbin, blow her out, put in a drop of oil, set her speed to 9 the. Let her warm up running for a few minutes while I'm getting set up. If it doesn't he'll doing that, make a call to the service dept.
