This will be going to my 4th grand baby due in less than 3 weeks.  My mind was working on this while I slept. I was thinking outline Sid on the dogs, my border, not pictured, is 3.5 inches, and will have bones using a template with match stick surrounding the bones. Orange sized spirals  in the quilt background. How does that sound?

Robbin;

Machine trapunto with wash-away top thread so the dogs truly pop out of the quilt.  Then a somewhat tight meaner with dog bones, dog sound "woof", "ruff", etc., dog bowl, tennis balls, whatever you can think of dog's like in the blue.  Around the number 9 dog (right column second from bottom) have be sure to have dog leash run from its neck to the side border/binding.  That way above your label on the back, you can have a small look of cloth, so the grand baby can walk their dog while holding the blanket.  Let us see it when your are done with it.

Cagey

May your threads be balanced, and your bobbin forever full….
