April W
Awesome job!!! Did the piecer faint when you handed her a bill? Thirty hours, 25,000 crystals, tons of thread, and binding.....that should have cost "a pretty penny" to have finished.

Marlette
Amazing quilt and quilting! You deserved the recognition. Can't imagine quilting around those crystals. I hope they were added afterward but it doesn't sound like it. I can sort of identify with the thread changes. My first quilt was a queen, blue, purple and aqua on black Roman Stripe. I change color on every stripe. Was worth it though when my son opened the box. It was his graduation gift. He had chosen the colors but hadn't seen it finished. doodlebug
the crystals were added after the quilting, and i didn't do them. i don't think i would take a quilt to quilt with that many crystals on the top. i'd be scared for my machine..... if i told you how much i charged your jaw would hit the floor i TOTALLY underestimated the work....but i had fun and in hindsight (lesson to newbies) it was worth it because i couldn't of paid for better advertising but i learned my lesson...estimate high, you can always come down, but it's almost impossible to go up...
