quiltmonkey
Looks like a little china doll. I like how you can see the Tumbling Blocks through her dress. Tumbelina == that is a fitting name for her.
Bonnie
I like this one better than the Gold Miner, and I really liked that one....you should post that one as well.

michaelalan
This is one of the quilts that I entered t in the MQX show last year but they wouldn\'t let it be shown. They said there wasn\'t a catagory that fit her. Of the 4 quilts I entered only one was accepted to be shown due to lack of catagories that fit my kind of quilting. quiltjunkie
Well then they need to add an Art Quilt or Mixed Media catagory like most of the other shows have done..that needs to be in a show!!
xxooms
I can see your method becoming popular...you should teach how to do this! Very neat quilt, I can see lots of uses for this method.
Lynne
That is really incredibly beautiful!! What kind of fabric(s) did you use to make the doll? She looks like glass....y\'know those fine German glass Christmas ornaments? And how big is the quilt? Absolutely love it...a shame it wasn\'t shown! Judi
Very nice! Yes - I would like to see the Gold Miner too, I am curious what it looks like. Is the doll made with the Angle hair type of iron on stuff? She is very pretty and elegant. I agree with Hester, They should have an Art type of quilt catagory - this is just awesome! michaelalan
I didn\'t use the Angeline, I painted with 3 different types of paint/dyes. She was quilted with Ricky Tims thread, gold color doing Bobbin work, then I started the painting. I used Poly batting because cotton will bleed through if your a wet painter...I paint dry and dye wet..... the luster is by using two types of paint mixed....lots of trial and error and now I have the formula, but there is paint out there that will give you some what of the same effect, I just liked to mix the different paints and dyes to see what I could get... I\'ll post the Miner and his Mule so you can see one done with only one mixed color... Tumbilina has many different colors, the hardest was the black, getting the translucent black to show the background fabric to show through without complete obliterating the fabric.
