I did the same thing as Gail O but if you take the screw out of the clamps, they will go right through the hole in the OXO bag clamps.  I also use Sharon (can't remember last name right now) method of making a leader with a dowel rod that you can pin to the sides and then use the curtain rod and it works great.

I have taken my featherweight to classes too.  I bought a Phaff passport 2 that I am now using.  I got it just before the passport 3 came out.  The 3 has a thread cutter that I wish I had on the 2.  It has several stitches but I haven't used them.  I went to Harbor Freight and bought a rolling tool bag for $20.00 that the sewing machine fits in and it works great.  The bag has pockets for the cord and foot control.

SYork got a reaction from quilterkp in Do you quilt off of the edges of the quilt top?
I baste the edges on both sides and then just quilt off the edges. Rarely I will catch the edge and it will flip when coming back on the quilt top but this doesn't happen often.

I would suggest that you have blown a fuse.  Check that.

I had the same problem with my leadergrips.  My husband did the same thing with the screws and it worked.  I have a set of zippers to sell if you are interested.

I agree about the new appliances.  I bought an expensive Samsung stainless steel dishwasher thinking it would last a long time.  WRONG.  It would not dry the dishes and took 3 hours to run a load.  It finally would not fill up to wash.  I replaced it with a cheaper model (not a Samsung).  I also bought a new washing machine at the same time I got the Samsung dishwasher.  It has had problems too but a repairman told my husband what was wrong with it over the phone because he had worked on so many of them.  I really wish I had my old washer back with the rotary dial knobs too.

I thought I had been wasting a lot of WD40 because I use it every time I get ready to quilt on my machine.  I think I will just continue to do so.

I use several of those plastic 3 drawer storage containers from Walmart.  I store thread and fabric in them.

I wish I had seen this earlier.  I finished mine (started it 2 years ago) and couldn't decide how to quilt it.  I finally just put a panto on it and got it finished.  I made mine king size.  Yours looks great.

Oh, I can relate.  I have 6 from the same lady that are ALL like that.  One has only 3 final borders.  When I called her twice and tried to get her to fix it, she said it was her design and just quilt it as is.  Really???????? Seams are from 1/8 inch to 3/4 inch.

If she didn't have the $500.00 to pay you for the quilts, I don't think she will have enough money to hire a lawyer. Lawyers aren't cheap. Forget her and move on. She must just want something to gripe about.
