Is it a  Qnique Long Arm Quilting Machine ?  you might have to call The Grace Company or look for a Q'nique group on the internet.

Barb--serendipity! I have this issue in hand and will happily send it to you without charge. I cleaned my sewing room a month ago and found all my back issues to put aside and loan to members of my longarm group. Look for an email from me.

Had a hurry up birthday gift. All over stipple, first time to try lettering. Not perfect but for a 5 yr old, will be fine. Great skill builder.

My customer pieced this using scraps from her stash.  She gave me a quilting design she found online.  I'd give credit to the quilter, if I knew who designed it.  The borders weren't showing so I used feathers and beadboard.  She used a 1/4 inch inner border and asked me to keep it straight.  Fortunately it was only a lap quilt.  I used So Fine and Bottom Line, my favorite threads when custom quilting.  And Hobbs 80/20.  DeLoa Jones' boomerang really came in handy to circle around the dresden plates.

These were made by my reproduction customer.  She just chose two blocks she liked for the wall hangings and put them together.  She wanted her "Indigo in Baskets" customed. This was the first time I used a light thread in a feather wreath on a dark background.  It took me forever because I wanted the backtracks to be spot on.  (Most were!)  Then when I decided to put feathers in the baskets, I used matching thread as it went way faster!.
Her "Flocks and Baskets" was so busy we just used a pantograph to give it movement.  So Fine and Bottom Line.  She provided warm and natural batting.

Probably used the thicker walled PVC pipe.  I noticed that the "foot" portion is a bit longer/wider than the diameter of the roll of batting - would ensure the whole thing doesn't tip over.
As Connie says - "genius" idea.

Judi contact a lawyer and have him/her write a letter to Dave Jones to get this resolved. You as a consumer have rights. Jessica and DeLoa deserve a little respect. They are small businesses in a small quilting world. Reputation is everything to them. Please don’t ruin it!
Let the authorities handle this. File a lawsuit if you wish. That should get his attention!
Let’s all be nice and respectful and work it out through proper channels.

I thought that this APQS site was to support people in a positive way, not tear people apart. It sickens me to read the hateful words and attacks on good people. Let’s be nice people!

Hi everyone, I very seldom post or reply to posts but this one, has really upset me.  Yes, I have heard about the  dealings with Dave Sr.  after he had set up my older Millie a few years ago, luckily, I did not have problems.  I do feel Judi's  exasperation and the frustration of not having a running machine, but I feel this forum is not the place to accuse, slander and muddied others' names and ruin their reputations.
I agree with Shana, this should be a matter settled by a lawyer or a small claims court.  We must remember that one little " bleeding thread" can really  taint the whole quilt, so one ugly word spoken in anger can ruin friendships and forums friends in this instance.
Lets be civil and respectful of one another.  Merry Christmas to all!!!

W&N sometimes has cotton seeds/pieces that your needle may hit, or that may be felt through the backing.  Perhaps that is what quilters are referencing.  I've used it for many quilts and have had no issues except for some bearding at times.  It's not my favorite, but I quilt many charity quilts for my church's missions and the lower cost of W&N helps us make more quilts.  For personal quilts I use QD, and usually their wool batting.

I only quilt for myself (when I have time   ), and for my church group.  We have delivered over 50 quilts so far this year to one of our mission organizations, and I've quilted a large number of them.  We make twin or larger sized quilts for this mission.  I use several of the Circle Lord long boards - especially the Swirls, Milky Way and Egyptian Eye.  They're wonderful time savers, and the children love circles on their quilts.  The CL products are great time savers.  When I have enough coins saved I'll be ordering some other boards, and I do plan to get a computer some day - but I won't ever give up my CL boards.

Norma H got a reaction from Quilting Heidi in MQS was disappointing
I am in agreement with you all - very disappointed in MQS - again.  I did attend MQX in 2014 when it was in Springfield IL - not as scrimpy as MQS, but . . .  Not sure if I'll go over to Springfield this year or not - the class registration just opened up yesterday.

There are just too many shows - look how AQS has expanded their number of shows the past few years.  Here in Iowa, the AQS show is well attended, but I've noticed fewer vendors here as well.  They just can't afford all of the costs to participate in all of the shows.

My prayers go out to you in your time of grief.

Having been in the same situation five years ago, I completely understand.  This is a very new situation of life for you - and I pray that you have support nearby to help you make the important decisions for the future.
