Cheryll
Trying again to post. Need ideas to quilt it. Points on pieced stars are thick. It's an ebay find.
eula
how about feathers filling the purple star & swirls filling the colored circles?
RitaR
Golly Cheryl, all I can think of to say, is it needs something to break up all those harsh straight lines...I don't think I'd use circles or spirals. I've done that for 3-4 days.. (*;o) Good Luck, RitaR
kimmiequilts
Spider Webs, that's what I did on one of these a couple of years ago, they looked great, gave the quilt some softer motion and nice texture! Ad some cc's in the purple areas and you're done!
ffq-lar
This was a Christmas quilt. I did ribbons from the center out in a spiral on the spider web block. The white star was McT-ed with swirls--not very easy to see in the pic. Any medium fill on the purple with matching thread would be nice.
SandraC
Wow, I'm so inspired! I've been planning on doing a spiderweb quilt for about 2 years now, been saving my strips and have a nice hunk of fabric put aside for the in-between parts. I saw the pattern on quiltville.com....she has the best ideas for scrap quilts! Very nice!
kimmiequilts
Linda, the ribbons are perfect with your Christmas fabrics, great quilting!
Quilting Heidi
Cheryl, I did a few doodles for you but this would be a hard top for me to decide what to do. Please be sure to post pictures when you're done. I like to keep ideas for quilts that may come in.
SandraC
I really like Heidi's "spiderweb" doodle! That gets my vote.
sewlinzi
I love Heidi's designs but it depends on whether you think the ebay quilt will behave and sit nice and flat (... if it is very lumpy the I suggest smallish spirals or teardrops to ease any fullness in)
nora123
I have done a few of this pattern, all ebay finds. Yes the seams are thick. I used my CL swirls and it looks fantistic!!!. The curves break up the straight line and balance the quilt. Nora Millennium Washougal WA
