yankiequilter
I had ruler racks but nothing for my quilting templates so asked DH if he could make one for me, and he did! It is 24-1/2" x 11-1/2" with 10 slots for quilting templates and hangs on the wall. What a sweetie, I think he's a keeper!

quiltmonkey
Yes, he's a keeper and now you have to fill that thing up so he can make you another one!

Primitive1
Carmen, Great idea! By the way, have you tried your "rope ruler" and how did it work? I bought a differant one but had trouble using it, maybe I just don't have the sequence down on how to use it...? Vicki
victoriasews
I see you've got a couple of rulers still in the packages. It's time to open and try out those goodies. Don't be like so many of us and leave them in the nice shelf. The longer they stay in there, the less likely you'll use them.
yankiequilter
Vicki, I haven't used the rope tool. It is from Quilters Rule and is marked A-B-C-D with instructions for stitching between the letters. As Victoria says, I need to open up these templates and start using them! And Shana, there's lots of room for more templates on this rack, and then there's another 4 feet to the ceiling so just imagine how many more racks and tools I can get in that space after I fill up this one! I've had my Millie since February and DH has been so helpful getting it set up and adjusted and readjusted and helping me get things set up the way I want them. It must be time to make another blueberry pie for him
AbigailE
I agree that he needs to make another one, but for ME! How much and are you in production yet? I need one that goes on the wall, not flat on a table. Let me know, I'll be your first client.
RitaR
very nice, especailly since they don't take up table/sewing center room. hang the plank the other way with slits across to hold rulers, too. Hes a keeper.. RitaR
yankiequilter
Abigail, DH says he doesn't want to be in the ruler rack business. Well, Boo! I thought for a fleeting moment there was a way to help pay for my quilting obsession! He says it has flaws and he would worry about shipping it and I think he'd rather go fishing. Thank you for the offer, though.
CWBowser
What a lucky lady you are. I love the idea that it hangs on the wall and is out of the way but also easily accessible. You need to tell him he is a keeper! Charlotte
