Gator
I'm getting ready to order more QD batting. Has anyone tried their oriental/bamboo yet? Thought I might try it but it's more expensive then my ol favs.

fabric007
Has anyone used the cotton bamboo 90 inch backing fabric?? It does have a sheen to it, but I really loved it, used it for wholecloth.. it better quality than your usual wide backing fabric... havent tried the batting ... Bonnie
I used a baby sized bamboo while at MQX in my class sample....its very drappy, and quilted up very well. With that said, its also pretty thin, but thin quilts aren't to mean a no warmth quilt. I of course haven't slept under it, but it did have a nice feel and I really liked the way it drapped, and I will use it again in something bigger to give it the sleep and wash test. SandraG
I used a Dream Orient this week. I loved it. It is cotton, silk, bamboo and Tencel. It drapes beautifully. It only comes in one loft. Sandra
njquiltergirl
Hi Connie. I heard in one of my MQX classes this year that is is very soft and drapey for the first few washes....then gets crinkly like paper! I'd try just one package before going for a whole roll! Good luck. Gator
Saundra that's what its called! Thanks guys you all are the best. I might get a piece and try it. I have an advantage, living in Virginia Beach, I can run over to the warehouse and pick-up batting.
