carolinequilts
The above DVD is available from Superior Threads and is on sale right now. Has anyone watched it? Is it useful? It is only $20 ($10 wholesale), so the price is right and comes with additional PDF files with more information. Thanks,
ThreadWaggle
I have not seen the video but if it is like his seminar at MQS it would be worth the money.
Guest LA
I can't say enough about Bob's knowledge of threads. He goes into the depth of the right tool for job, trouble shooting, proper tension, proper threads per needle & how thread is manufactured,, you'll look at thread with new eyes & the endless possibilities with all the fun new products available to sewers! I think everyone should have this DVD on hand, the education & support this has is invalubale,,,should come with everyone machine sold on the planet, who has time for problems when you can enjoy sewing??,, great for everyone! ,,, And don't forget to go to Superiors web site to sign up for the E-newsletter Bob sends out every month,, as well as his wife Heathers Blog (Mother Superior) read about their new product Texture Magic! I want to try this on a few projects,, http://superiorthreads.blogspot.com/
Nadia Wilson
I have this DVD and it is well worth it! I too highly recommend this dvd for all longarmers. Lots of great information.
carolinequilts
Thanks everbody! I'm going to order it, but I've sent a note to Superior as they want $21 to ship it to Canada. If they won't ship cheaper, I guess I'll just have to place a thread order to go along with it to make the shipping costs worthwhile
Betsy
I'll pipe in here too. I have the DVD and it is very, very informational AND entertaining!
Sharon M
am another Canadian who doesn't want to pay $21 shipping! Caroline, please post again if they reply with a cheaper shipping rate.... I would like to have this DVD too!
carolinequilts
Hi Sharon, I will certainly let you know what they come back with, but I haven't heard yet. Maybe if we can't get the price reduced, I can order 2 copies and send one to you. I would figure out all the costs and divide it equally. Maybe there are other Canadians out there that would like to join in?
Sharon M
That sounds perfect Caroline! I'd be happy to split the cost of shipping with you. Let me know if you'd like to do that...I can slip a cheque in the mail to you as soon as you know the costs. Great idea

quiltmonkey
I took Bob's class at MQS and the "GIANT LIGHT BULB" went on over my head (I swear I saw it go on and everything!!!) and that is when "I got it" and it all made sense to me. I am grateful to Bob and his explanation about thread. I even got a diploma! If his class is like the DVD you will get your money's worth. Linda A is right... this DVD should come wth all machines that are sold. This would eliminate the tension headaches.

ffq-lar
Let me know if I can help. I am happy to be a shipping agent. If you want to have all shipped to me, I will ship to Caroline and she can disperse throughout Canada. I am familiar with international shipping and customs declarations.
