Butterfly
All the input I have is curved crosshatching in the curvy triangles and then morph those into feathers in the large areas of white. jessica
KDquilter
I did that quilt. I did a kind of modified mctavishing in the white outer edge (not so dense) and a curve in the cathedral windows. I left the sashing because it was small enough but you could do some curvy lines.
PattyJo
On my intake conversation with my client, she really does not like feathers but she is into leaves. Somehow I can't quite see leaves on this quilt. She also liked the Greek key's in the squares that are pictured on the pattern cover. I'm still looking at ideas, so if you have an idea other than those posted, please post them. I'm really having a brain freeze on this one and no I'm not eating icecream too fast! Thanks for your help.
witha'K'quilting
how about one of the background fillers that I did on my post "just for fun"? in the white background. also, in the center of the quilt where the white squares lie in the corners...forming a secondary design...maybe you can do some spiral or square spiral thing in there. know what i mean? I tried to turn the star parts into leaves off a large spiral flower. Not sure if this gives some other thoughts or not. Then maybe just nail down the background with a fill of your choice! katdix
Here is a picture of my mexican star quilt. I know you said that the owner doesn't like feathers, but maybe you will get some ideas. Can't wait to see what you decide. Good luck.

PattyJo
Jill - thank you for the pic. My customer isn't a feather girl, but I could make some palm fronds or ?? instead. I'll do some doodeling and see what I can come up with.
