peglu
So...I decided to make my neice a flip flop quilt for her graduation gift. I couldn't find a pattern that I liked, so I decided to make my own. I traced a flip flop, marked the spots where the staps go, and appliqued them to white muslin blocks. They look great, except......I wear a 9 1/2 size shoe!! The blocks are HUGE! :P:P I had to use a 12 inch block just to make the flip flop fit. Oh well, her quilt will be bigger than lap size for sure.

Quilting Heidi
LOL that is funny. But look at it this way you don't have to make as many blocks!

Mary Beth
That's kind of like your niece having your foot print in concrete for the rest of her life. Every time she looks at the flip-flop she will know that is your footprint...like a baby footprint....get it :P
