Boni
The quilting is not the focus in this quilt. My cousin Patty, remember?, instigated this one for her neighbor's daughter's wedding present. It has taken them two years to finish it and I just had to show it off. Her piecing and satin stitching is just beautiful, whimsical, and eye candy to behold. My quilting was a combination of freehand (gasp!) and computer. If any of you get one of these to do, I hope you share your work with us. I just SID all the blocks and around the applique, then did some little scribbles and such in the little piecing blocks. The sashing is all circles, the black border is teacups stacked, and the outer border is a stipple/meander with swirls and tea leaves here and there. The circles in the sashing and the teacups are computer generated. The pattern is called Tea for Twenty, by Nancy Barrett...her website is: http://withneedleandthread.com/ Enjoy! http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="288" height="192" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2Fbonniesews%2Falbumid%2F5524593217268095921%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer">

Thanks;) Nancy Barrett, With Needle and Thread, the name of the pattern is Tea for Twenty. It was two years ago and I'm thinking she found it at a local quilt shop on our shop hop route. I'll ask her when I see her again. http://withneedleandthread.com/
Starrynight Quilter
Boni This is just too funny! This will be perfect for my best friend who moved away a couple of years ago. She collects tea pots and tea cups. I was going to ask if anyone on the forum had a pattern for tea cups/teapot so that I could make her a quilted wallhanging and here it is...the perfect pattern. I will definately be ordering the pattern. Thanks for sharing....it is georgous....very whimsical which I love. Boni
Patty Jo, my cousin Patty said she got the pattern at Greenbaum's Quilted Forest in Salem. Remember, that was two years ago. I'm sure they'll be willing to order it for you. If you have a chance to drop in, my daughter Becky is teaching Miniatures in Minutes there. The second class is this Thursday night. There's another in December and she'll be teaching more next year. I'll post a picture when I'm done. Marlene, glad you found your perfect pattern. There are others on her website that I found delightful. I love the lighthouses.

RoseCity Quilter
I Love tea, teapots, and this quilt. But, I too was noticing how your pictures played like a slide show and love that even more! How did you do that???:cool::cool:
Boni
If you click on the slide show itself, you will be taken to my Picasa albums. If you upload your pictures to Picasa, you can embed a link to a slide show from there. I may not be able to tell you how to do it, but if I can do it you can do it. Picasa's instructions are easy. Good luck!
