prewound bobbins

I'm having problems with Magna-Glide bobbins today also. Keeps snagging and breaking. Now, I am using one that I wound, So Fine, SAME bobbin case and NO problems..........so far. Or is it "sew far"? hahaha I do have to loosen the bobbin tension when I use the Magna Glides; and tighten 'er back up with a regular bobbin. I do have a few cases, but the one always works better than the others. Go figure.

Waaahhhh......

This reminds me that I can no longer find the Coats bobbins in colors, only white and black. I used to get them from Superior and they were great and sooo cheap! $39 for a gross. Now the Super Bobs are twice as much. I have googled my fingers to the bone and no luck..........

Yes, I did remove the spring and yes, I put it in magnet-part first. Still, a poor tension. Any other ideas?

I am so glad others have some tension problems, no matter what remedy we try. It makes me feel a whole lot less 'ignorant'.

I was at APQS in Des Moines a few months ago, and they had a cabinet full of coats bobbins in colors. Don't know what the cost is, but you might want to call them. I've looked for them online too, to no avail. It would e a shame if they stopped making them.

There must be some sort of burr or piece of thread or something in your thread path from your bobbin case to the machine. Did you try a different bobbin case?
