SandraG
Dave and DeLoa are on the way to Louisiana! Heaux, Heaux, Heaux! I made him 3 pies today -- something to barter with in case my machine needs some TLC. Actually they are coming to set up a CompuQuilter for one of my customers. We are having a class Saturday. All in all, the rest of the week is going to be great!!!

JustSewSimple
Sandra, I just thought about you and a surprise with a pie. I just baked a yummy apple nut cake and tasted it and it was good and yummy but something seemed to be missing. Hmmmmm. Cleaning up the kitchen solved the puzzle - I left off the cinnamon and the nutmeg! GGGGrrrrrrrr!!!!!

seakitten
When you leave off the cinnamon that's one thing; when you leave off the sugar it's a whole 'nother thing. Done that.
Janice
Speaking of pies. I baked a cherry pie for a church dinner. As they had a lot of pies I took mine late. As we got there, several friends arrived at the same time so we ate together. They all decided to have my pie. I left the table for a few minutes to help an elderlly lady out of her chair and to the door. When I came back , my husband pulled a (used)bandaid out of his pocket. He had found it in his piece of pie. He chewed and chewed and thought this is one tough cherry! What are the chances that he would be the one to get it? I worked in a floral shop and had an allergy to something they sprayed on the ferns so I had sore fingers with bandaids on them all of the time. Since then, I remove all bandaids when cooking. This was a fundraiser dinner and open to the public. How lucky can I get!!
