Quilting Heidi
I hope that batting keeps behaving for you. I will never put it on my frame again. I only used it once and it was aweful. You will do a good job I'm sure.
JustSewSimple
Have you checked the back of the quilt? That is where I saw the biggest problem. It looked like Santa's beard.
Gator
You are brave, very brave. If your new customer is self-trained, she may not know about batting types. I see an opportunity for a great quilter/instructor relationship.
Stagecl
You will do a great job! You can also educate your customers on batting choices. One way is to have samples stitched with the different types of batting. Stitch the samples out on muslin, this way the results are seen easily with no distraction from printed fabric. newmillie2010
thanks, all. it seems to be quilting up a-ok. i did introduce her to my supply of batting. she offered to take hers back but "Joann's won't let me return it because I don't have the receipt anymore." We reached an agreement that if it didn't play well with my machine I'd let her know and then put on my QD Puff. She agreed. I'll tell you something. She did a great job piecing this top. 1/4" seams, squared up, the whole 9 yards. I'm really impressed. I don't think I did that good a job after piecing for 5 years! Oh, I'm checking the underside every row. I love Santa but not coming through my quilting!! have a blessed quilting day!
