TerriVB
Since Sheri brought up the subject for next year--just thought I would post my challenge that I entered into this year's MQS Fabric Challenge quilt. It was a tough piece of fabric--as not my usual color choices--the challenge piece is the light colored round with pink and blue shells, starfish and seahorses. I have always wanted to try the Ricky Timms' Rhapsody style quilts and thought this was as good of place as any to try. They actually are not as hard as they look--just follow the steps in the book and it went together nicely. I digitized the embroidery designs myself in my Art and Stitch software, stitched them out on my little Deco and then quilted it using QD 70/30 and QD Puff. Added some sparkle and sent it off. What a thrill to then be at the awards ceremony and see my quilt come up on the big screen and win first place. Just goes to show--you never know if you can do it--unless you try!! I say go for it!!
