ffq-lar Posted August 28, 2012 Report Share Posted August 28, 2012 My customer realized without me telling her that this quilt had such busy fabrics in the body that not much quilting would show. I suggested an overall meandering feathers but it is for her sis and she wanted it more special. Sashings were quilted separately with up/down C's, a freehand feather wreath in the main blocks, and where they actually showed--meandering hooked feathers in the border. When I need to SID I almost always use Monolon, which is super thin and works well with my machine. It can be used for any application including overall designs. Very "invisible" with not much shine.
