wrist fatigue

Recommended Posts

Yes Anne, I get this too!  I usually sleep with wrist braces on both wrists which helps a little - plus 'Aleve' or similar when needed.

I strained both wrists in a car accident many years ago and from time to time they flair up.  It's usually caused by doing something stupid like trying to move a piece of furniture without help or carrying too much weight with one hand.  Then it doesn't usually show up until I quilt or drive .  I just have to remember to think ahead and be more patient - and try not to do things that will put strain on my wrists.

Good luck with yours!

Change your hand position often. If you're holding onto the front of the handles all the time, try moving them to the sides, just cupping the round part in your palm. My students find when they do this their accuracy even improves. I have very bad, weak wrists and change my hand position at least once every 60 seconds. We're lucky we have these handles so we CAN change our hand position.
