maggienoella
I'm almost finished with the basketball quilt I asked about a few weeks ago. Will post a photo Wednesday. I have a microfiber cloth to remove the chalk marks but is it supposed to be used damp or dry? I used the yellow chalk. Thanks, Joan
meg
I use the nozzle on my vacuum to remove chalk marks before I take to quilt off the frame.
shirleyl
I just wipe the white chalk off with a dry cloth. I haven't used the yellow. Shirley

delld
I use Miracle Chalk and use my piped air to blow it out. Yep,wonderful hubby piped the compress air into my studio! Love it! BTW I never use colored chalk because of the color doesn't always come out.
Quilting Heidi
I too only use a dry cloth.
maggienoella
Well, I guess I won't use yellow any more. What do you use on white fabric? I saw a you tube yesterday where she recommended a light gray or something. Thanks, Joan So she may have to wash it for the yellow to come out? chrisquilter
Be very careful with any colored chalk. I never use anything but white. A friend of mine used yellow and had a terrible time getting it out. She ended up using Shout Gel. It is a little hard to find, but it took the yellow out. I use purple air erase on white fabric or the blue water soluble marker, removing it with the blue line marker remover http://www.bluelineeraser.com/ http://www.drugstore.com/shout-advanced-action-gel-stain-remover/qxp187684?aid=336064&gclid=CK7LroixlLsCFeZFMgodK0cAjQ
maggienoella
Thanks so much! I hope i can get it out. Oh boy... Joan
ffq-lar
Ditto on the purple air-erase pen. I use an Aquadoodle (toy) pen that dispenses water to remove the purple marks if I don't want to wait for them to fade.
maggienoella
Great idea, Linda...my DD had an aquadoodle. Well, I guess everyone did...LOL Joan
dixieqwv
I use a sponge eraser. I try to always stick to white chalk.
shirleyl
I use the purple air erase, the blue wash out as well as white chalk as well as the methods listed above to remove. I also for the air erase just spritz with a little water. However in the summer when running the swamp cooler the air erase is usually gone before I'm done marking, so I only use it during the winter and when not running the swamp cooler. Obviously not a problem right now it is snowing like mad. Shirley
