K. Szymaszek
A friend and customer asked my opinion on fusible web, what is the lightest product out there for applique? I don't use fusible so I need your help. Thanks in advance, K
yankiequilter
I like and use Soft Fuse the most. Here is a previous discussion on fusible products that you may find helpful. http://forum.apqs.com/index.php?/topic/33656-fusible-for-applique/
K. Szymaszek
Awesome, thank you Carmen, I should have checked for previous discussions, didn't think of it. This was very informative and I'll pass the info on. Thanks again. K
chrisquilter
Mysty fuse is also very light, but it does not have a paper backing. softexpressions.com/software/notions/MistyFuse. For what ever reason, the hyper-link will not work, but at least you can type in the web site to get more information.

LindaSteller
I use and love Misty Fuse the best. All you have to do is get some parchment paper, and you're golden. It's not only very lightweight, but it stays stuck a lot more than things like wonder under.

lkl
I concur with Linda and Chris, Mistyfuse is the best light weight fusible web. It comes in white and black.
LisaC
Thanks for the information; I guess you have to order these products direct from their websites? I see MistyFuse on Amazon and Ebay but would shop direct rather than purchase through them. I wish they would offer a tiny sample pack so you could see the products; like Quilter's Dream does; that would be awesome and one could make an educated guess and most likely make a larger purchase of the products they like the best. Bonnie H
I agree that Misty Fuse is the lightest fusible web I've ever used and it didn't gum up the needle at all. That part made me 100% happy! Having said that, in only the project I did use it in (lots of small flowers), the Misty Fuse didn't stay adhered very well and when I got around to quilting it on my longarm (months and months later), I had to guide longarm with one hand and hold the flower edges down with the other. And I thought Misty Fuse expensive.
K. Szymaszek
Thanks for the info. I think a sample pack is an awesome idea. I love that. I am concerned that it didn't hold after time had passed. I will pass that info on as I just went in on some with a group of quilters. K
