LindaSteller
I have a very prolific customer who does great piecing -- you can tell because this hangs so flat and straight. Anyway, she is giving this baby quilt to a friend at her shower this coming week. The appliquéd kangaroo in the center is from the expectant mom's own baby quilt and was supplied to the piecer by the mom-to-be's mom. I used Dream Angel batting, Glide thread in Whisper Yellow on the top with cream in the bobbin. The outer border is hearts and finials by Helen Baczynski and is included on the IQ, the swirls are from Legacy Quilting, and the rose over-all pattern around the appliqué is Little Rose by Lorien Quilting. This is my first light custom with no SID - I can really notice it (and it bothers me) but the budget did not allow for the SID time. Oh - forgot to say I used IQ's No Sew Zone to whip right around that appliqué. So easy to do, and it tracked the outer edge of the appliqué beautifully.
